A group of boys from the club have raised £4,620 for Movember

As a club, every year we fundraise for Movember. This organisation fund and raise awareness for male mental health and suicide prevention in young men, and testicular and prostate cancer. Some of the statistics for suicide in young men are startling to say the least, so we as a club are passionate about doing our bit for such an important cause. In these times in particular, mental health is such an important area which will be under acute pressure.

This year the Movember group, as well as growing a moustache, also committed to moving 60km over the course of the month, whether it be running or walking. By doing this, and working hard to fundraise, we have raised a massive £4,600. Each and every person raising money this year should be immensely proud of this achievement.

Hopefully with rugby returning, we can all get back to exercising regularly and seeing our mates a couple of times a week, however this is no reason to lose the momentum on raising awareness for mental health. Keep talking boys.
