Two evenly matched sides produced an exciting end to end game. SCRFC Colts spurned many chances to score in the first half but led 7-5 at the break with a try by William Robinson, converted by Diran Oresanya. In the second half Old Whits struck first to lead 10-7, until Matthew Cassar scored dragging 3 defenders with him. At 12-10, the team were in control until a couple of injuries affected the tempo of the game. Old Whits regained their composure quicker and their pressure was rewarded with two quick tries to lead 20-12 with 8 mins to go. SCRFC did not give up and with 3 mins left on the clock, Diran Oresanya kicked a penalty to bring the score to 20-15. Old Whits' kick to restart was perfect and forced a SCRFC mistake. Camped in our half, Old Whits wound the clock down and saw the game out.
