Streatham suffered another disappointing defeat at the hands of League leaders Worth Old Boys. The Frant Road side made the mistake of playing a game that suited Worth who were a side full of good runners it was not until the home side started to play route one rugby with a series of drives and dominant scrums that Worth were put under pressure.
A terrible start with flimsy first up tackling saw Worth score 3 unconverted tries before Streatham burst into life with some incisive running by Kai Cassemis leading to a score however sloppy defence again allowed Worth to score before Vinnie Auguiste powered over to make it 22-12 however the half ended with Worht scoring two breakaway tries to make it 36-12 at halftime.
Some sotrign workds at half time by Director of Rugby Chris Callaway stirred Streathan to an improved 2nd half performance although Worth were still able to register two scores the home side managed to cross th eline 3 times with two tries from Gallagher and a third from Daniels following great catch and drives from the forwards fianl socre 31-50
Streatham now have two weeks to prepare for the big local derby at Mitcham.
